Walker’s re-launch Shortbread Highlanders by popular demand.

Walker's Shortbread Highlanders have been enjoyed by shortbread lovers for decades and are unique to Walker's. The exclusive Highlanders recipe has been handed down through generations, using only the finest ingredients available: all-butter, flour, sugar, and a pinch of salt.

Chunky and rustic, the outer edge is hand-rolled in sweet demerara sugar crystals, which gently dissolve on the tongue as your tastebuds give in to a deliciously crumbly all-butter centre.

To coincide the Walker’s 125th anniversary, Highlanders have been re-launched in a new and refreshed packaging design, retaining Walker’s iconic, red tartan branding but with a stronger and more contemporary finish. The new Walker’s logo is taken from an old company delivery van, honouring the brand’s 125-year-old history, while providing a revitalised offering more relevant to today’s consumer.

Walker’s much-loved shortbread recipe was created in the Speyside village of Aberlour where they proudly remain to this day. Provenance, quality and heritage are central to the Walker’s brand and is part of what makes them so popular across the globe.

Walker's Shortbread Highlanders are now available to purchase in selected Woolworths stores International Sections, followed by Coles & David Jones in August and selected Independent stores in the lead up to Christmas.
